For a chance to win the 1 3/16" Damask Kit leave a comment by Midnight on Thursday July 2nd on this post click here . You need to answer the question when you leave your comment.
For a chance to win the - Friendship Centers and Borders for the 3 1/4" Stamper by leaving a comment by clicking here you have until Midnight on Friday July 3rd.
Welcome to day five of our Summer Release Reveal. Introducing our new oval wooden stamper 1 3/4" x 2 5/16" with bonus Pansy Center and 15 point Special Occasion Font. Today we are introducing our new small oval stamper which is available for purchase on July 7th two ways. You may purchase just the block JB 08420 for $8.95 or you can purchase the block with our new designer pansy center and 15 point Special Occasion Font for JB 08648 for $12.95.
Supplies: JB 08648 Wooden Oval with Pansy Center, Paper: Making Memories- Flower Patch, Dies: Spellbinders Classic Oval & Classic Scalloped Nestabilities Punches: Butterfly Punch, Border Punch, Pearls - Kaiser Crafts, Flower- Martha Stewart, Gingham Ribbon May Arts
The new oval gives you the ability to write with 6pt or 15 pt font on the rim. Tomorrow we will be revealing the first set for this size oval stamper!! And you are gonna love it!!
Your oval stamper comes with a bonus Pansy Center which you can stamp and color.

Or you can combine the border

with your new 15 point Special Occasion Font:
Here's a look at what the image looks like using 15 point Times New Roman Font. Which is available for purchase when you buy our JB 08650 2" Stamper.

You may ask what is different about the small oval that is on sale in our Dollar Store and the new oval. The new oval fits the Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities and will accept font on the rim. It is slightly chubber. The old small oval was designed to be an exact match to our self-inking Chique Stamper and unfortunately not a single oval die or punch on the market matched it- so we designed this new shape. We love to layer our projects and you know how we love our Nesties.
Here are a few questions and answers:
Will the original centers from the Harmony Classic Oval I shape work in the new oval? Yes they will since all our griding is identical and the new oval is slightly wider.
Will I be able to purchase 15 point Times Roman Font or Special Occasion font without purchasing the wooden stamper? Currently we have no plans to sell the font separately. But on July 7th you will be able to purchase all our blocks, 2", 2 3/8" and the new oval openstock without the fonts or bonus designer centers. Many of you have indicated you would like a second block so that you can leave a block with your custom phrasing on it.
How do you recommend storing your JustRite Stamps? We certainly have not found the end all storage solution but I can share with you what I have been using for the last three months to store my JustRite Stamps. This has worked great for me since it stores the stamps by size and allows me to keep them handy on my design station.
I am using these Storage Stacking Containers which you can find in the Jewelry department of almost any craft store. Prices vary so shop around - you can find them priced from $1.00 to $3.99. I found them at Walmart, Michaels and AcMoore.
They are available in three sizes - a 1 1/2" diameter stack- perfect for storing our 1 3/16" stamps - each section of the container with stack stamps 5 deep, 1 3/4" stack - perfect for our 1 5/8" stamps which will stack stamps 6 deep and a 2 3/4" stack which is perfect for our 2 3/8" product each section will hold 6 stamps.
I would recommend keeping the insert from the blister packaging of our stamp sets and placing them in a binder for easy reference. I would also recommend that you label each section of the container. Which is what I will do to mine ...when I am a little less busy!!
I am still searching for the best way to store our larger images the centers of the 3 1/4" stamper will fit in the larger container...but the borders won't.

For your chance to win today's Reveal - The oval stamper with 15 pt special occasion font and pansy center. Please tell us how you are currently storing your JustRite Stamps and ideally how would you like to store them. For your chance to win leave a comment before midnight on Saturday July 4th.
Stop back into tomorrow to see the final set for the July 7th shipping date!! We will be introducing two more sets at the end of the month. These sets are for Fall & Halloween!!
And in August we will be revealing 6 new sets for Christmas!!

For a chance to win today's Release - Friendship Centers and Borders for the 3 1/4" Stamper leave a comment on this post by Friday July 3rd. Today's question is how many hours a month do you craft and approximately how many cards do you make a month?

Supplies: JustRite JB 08730 Friendship Borders Centers, American Crafts Paper, Spellbinders -Scalloped Circle & Circle Nestabilities. SU Scalloped Border Punch, Kaiser Pearls, EK Success Border Butterfly Punches.

Today's stamps are for our 3 1/4" Wooden Stamper

For my second card I was inspired to use my designer border as if it was a demi phrase. I just love how Debbie Olson uses them tucked into her projects. So I stamped just my border image using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink to stamp just the border. Then I die cut the border using 2 Scalloped Circle Nestabilitie dies at one time. Use removal tape to secure the dies in place. I dry embossed the die cut too. Then I cut the border after the rose image. Next I stamped the center image with versamark embossing ink and embossed with Ranger Super Detail Embossing Powder. After diecutting and embossing the image I used Ranger Distress inks- Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain to distress my die cuts. I also distressed my Pink Plaid Paper which is from the DCWV Garden Party Stack.

The flower is a Prima Flower - just love these new flowers!! The Vintage buttons are from Jesse James. To make them more vintage - I colored them with my E37 Copic Marker..

We will have more projects using this set later this week. We are all having so much fun with our new Toys!! Remember they are not available for purchase until July 7th. You can't even see these on the website until July 7th.!!

JustRite Summer release #1 Preview Day #2- Thinking of You

Hello Everyone - sorry for the delay in posting our Preview today. Can you say "Internet Issues"!!! You will notice in this release that we have focused on Ovals!!

Blog Candy Alert!!Leave a comment on this post telling us how you plan to spend the Holiday Weekend and you could win your own Thinking of You set with the coordinating wooden Oval Stamper. You have until Wednesday July 1st at midnight to post your comment on this post. For every 200 comments that we receive we will add an additional blog candy winner. GoodLuck to everyone. EDIT ADDED: THIS BLOG CANDY IS NO CLOSED!!
At one time or another everyone needs to send a card to someone- to let them know that you are thinking of them, or perhaps to express your heartfelt sympathy as someone loses a loved one. Not a set that we concisely say we need to purchase but a set that we all need at one time or another. This set is sure to become your go to stamp set for just such occassions.

INTRODUCING JUSTRITE THINKING OF YOU!!

This set is designed to fit in our large oval wooden stamper - 2 1/4" x 3 1/16". And in typical JustRite fashion we have added a JustRite Twist to our oval collections by giving you 3 designs in a Horizontal Orientation and 3 designs in a Veritical Orientation. Which gives you tons of options that you haven't had before for designing dynamic cards. JB 08740 Thinking of You whcih will retail for $15.95 and will be available for shipping on July 7th.

Our first card today was designed using the New S4- 210 Lattice Pendant from Spellbinders! Did you get a chance to see the Spellbinders Blog Frenzy? If not be sure to visit the Spellbinders blog for all the links to the Blog Frenzy. We are so excited to be able to preview their collection with ours on our blog this month. As always the possiblities are endless!!

These Pendant dies measure - 4 x 3 7/8"Center - 2 x 1 5/8"Accent 1 -1x1"Accent 2 - 1 5/8 x 3/4" and are the large die is the perfect size to mat our large oval.

To design the card we used Gold Ore Petallics from WorldWin Papers and made an A2 Card. From the remaining scraps we die cut the Large Pendant Center and saved the reverse cut to use above and below our fun Prima Flower.

We stamped our image with Tsukeniko's Memento Black Ink on Neenah Solar Crest White paper and used Copic Markers to color the floral image. Next I die cut and embossed the image using Spellbinders Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. Then I chalked the area outside of the border with Pebbles Chalks which gives dimension to the stamped image. To highlight the centers of our flowers I added the smallest pearls for Kaiser Krafts. The petite star glitter paper is from My Mind's Eye - It's My Party Short Stack with Glitter- Paper Pad.

My second card to share with you is "May God's Grace Sustain You" the perfect sentiment when there are just no words to say. For this design I used the coordinating Spellbinder's Lattice Borderabilities .

The dies are sized for an A2 card, One die cut creates your entire border. Wahoo!! Which eliminates the need for multiply punches and lining up your punch perfectly!! This is a set of two Borderabilities die templates. One is a border that cuts one edge and embosses the other, and can be used to make continuous cuts and decorative edges. The second borderability die template has a continuous cut line perfect for making coordinating accent pieces. Approximate sizes:Border - 1 1/4" x 5.5"Accent - 1 3/8 x 5.5"

For the card base I used Blue Awnings 12 x 12 Paper pad from K& Company. I stamped the image with versamark watermark pad and gold embossed the image using Ranger detailed embossing powder. To create a faux mat layer I used a E09 Copic Marker to color in the rim around the verse then I diecut the image with Spellbinder's Oval Nestabilities and matted with a slightly large oval using Desert Dunes DoubleMa from WorldWin Papers. The tiny roses and petite petals are all from Prima Flowers fantasy Stix Collection- which I found at Michaels.

To see more cards designed using the Thinking of you set visit Heidi Blankenship's blog , Sharon Johnson's Blog

and Kellie Fortin's personal blog for all the details on how I created this card for the JustRite package as well as more cards using this stamp set.

Did you see what Mish Cooked up for her Mason Jar?? Be sure to visit Michelle Wooderson's blog post for an inspirational use for a Mason Jar that doesn't involve canning!! Along with a fabulous JustRite Recipe Card.

I would use the Jams Jellies Preserves stamps first with the recipe for Freezer Jam. I have wanted to try making freezer jam for years but never seem to get around to actually doing it. So the stamps would be a good motivator. As a child, I used to help my mother can peaches and tomatoes; delicious results but hot, hot work as we did not have air conditioning. The freezer jam sounds so much easier and cooler! Iris

Tillymint (Aka Sue from Sydney) was kind enough to share her favourite chutney (Christmassy Fruit Chutney) with us in the comment section of our Preserve Set. We are posting it here and adding a new label (category to our side bar- called JustRite Recipe Swap). If you have a recipe you would like to share here on our blog simply post it in the comment section of any post and we would be haLisa said...

My all-time favorite is Strawberry-Lemonade Jam.

-Pat of butter
-2 boxes pectin

-14 cups sugar

JustRite Summer Release #1- Preview Day One -Preserves and Blog Candy

Welcome to the beginning of our Summer Release #1 Reveal. We are very excited about our Summer Releases as we have a new illustrator and you are going to love our new look!! In our Winter release our new illustrator designed the Favorite Occasion and the Tiny Word Set . We loved her designs so much we asked her to design our entire Summer Collection.

What better way to share your love of gardening then to package your homemade pickles, jams, jellies, preserves, maple syrups, and salsas with beautiful labels and tags. Do you have a friend who loves to can and you know would love to stamp but just hasn't taken the plunge? Than this is the perfect gift set. For details on how to win your own set read the entire post.

Handmade custom labels and tags would be the perfect gift for your favorite gardener. Does the process of canning intimidate you? Then start with Refrigerator Pickles. These are super easy to make and are great fun to make with your kids.

Here's Lauren Meader's fun project from Saturday using her Timeless Template "Pack a Picnic" and a border from our set in combination with Lizzie Ann's Tutti Fruit Set. For all the details visit her blog by clicking here.
Does the whole process of canning seem intimidating? Get your feet wet by starting with these Spicy Refrigerator Pickles or Strawberry Freezer Jam.

Spicy Refrigerator Dill Pickles
This is a wonderful, spicy dill pickle with a nice hint of sweetness.
PREP TIME 15 Min READY IN 10 Days

INGREDIENTS
12 3 to 4 inch long pickling cucumbers
2 cups water
1 3/4 cups white vinegar
1 1/2 cups chopped fresh dill weed
1/2 cup white sugar
8 cloves garlic, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons coarse salt
1 tablespoon pickling spice
1 1/2 teaspoons dill seed
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
4 sprigs fresh dill weed

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, water, vinegar, chopped dill, sugar, garlic, salt, pickling spice, dill seed, and red pepper flakes. Stir, and let stand at room temperature for 2 hours, until the sugar and salt dissolve.
Remove the cucumbers to three 1 1/2 pint wide mouth jars, placing 4 cucumbers into each jar. Ladle in the liquid from the bowl to cover. Place a sprig of fresh dill into each jar, and seal with lids. Refrigerate for 10 days before eating. Use within 1 month.

Sweet and Sour
Acid is necessary in preserving not only for flavor and texture, but in preventing bacterial growth. In making pickles, acid is an important part of the fermentation process. In fruit preserves, lemon juice is typically used as the acid, while vinegar is more common in vegetable preserves. Preserves made with low-acid foods must be processed in a pressure canner to prevent any bacteria from growing
Making jam can be an ambitious undertaking in the midst of summer's heat. The solution? Freezer jam. Not only is it easy and safe, but it tastes remarkably like fresh fruit since the jam is never cooked.

If you haven't made jam before you will need to purchase one key ingredient -Pectin. Pectin is an essential gelling agent. It is crtitical for jams and jellies.Using the proper ratio of sugar, acid and pectin is critical for jams and jellies, as it determines the texture and flavor of the final product. Pectin is found naturally in many fruits: apples, quince, plums, red and black currants, gooseberries and oranges all contain high pectin levels. Under-ripe fruit contains more pectin than ripe fruit, but is not recommended for preserving due to its lack of flavor. Most recipes call for added pectin, in either liquid or powdered form; there are also special pectins available for making low-sugar preserves. Jams and jellies made without pectin must be cooked longer, depending upon the amount of natural pectin in the fruit.

Fresh Flavors
When selecting fruit or vegetables for canning, choose the freshest available, preferably picked that day. If you don't have a garden you can still get fresh fruits and vegetables by going to U-pick farms and farmers' markets.

Strawberry Freezer Jam
This jam is quick, easy and delicious on toast, ice cream or even in milkshakes! Keep jars of this in the freezer and take them out when you are ready to use them. Once thawed, they will last approximately 1 month in the refrigerator. If it lasts that long!"

PREP TIME 10 Min COOK TIME 5 Min READY IN 25 Min
Original recipe yield 5 pints

INGREDIENTS
2 cups crushed fresh strawberries
4 cups sugar
1 (1.75 ounce) package dry pectin
3/4 cup water

DIRECTIONS
Mix crushed strawberries with sugar, and let stand for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stir the pectin into the water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and boil for 1 minute. Stir the boiling water into the strawberries. Allow to stand for 3 minutes before pouring into jars or other storage containers.
Place tops on the containers, and leave for 24 hours. Place into freezer, and store frozen until ready to use.

Day 5 with Michele Kovack - Girl Time

It's a busy day at the JustRite Blog!! If you came here looking for the Summer Release # 1 Reveal - you can find it by scrolling down through all Michele's fab eye candy and reading the post before this or by clicking here

A Special Thanks to Michele Kovack for Guest Blogging here on the JustRite Blog this week. It was an amazing week chalked full of inspiring projects!! If you would love to continue seeing more projects from Michele please be sure to visit her blog Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker.

Today Michele has designed 4 great cards using our Girl Time Set.
For my last and final day as Guest Blogger, I wanted to show some fun cards using the Girl Time set.

For my first card I used this fun paper by K & Company. The image was stamped twice. The first image was cut using Spellbinders Circle die. On the second image the glass was colored using my Copics and then cut out. I placed it on a pop dot on top of the second image. I added a silver sticky "pearl" to the center of the clock's hands. The circle around Happy Hour was gussied up using a Sakura glue pen and glitter. I added several layers of circles, scalloped circle and Labels die. I threaded a ribbon through and tied a Maya Road clear pink pineapple to add a bit of whimsy!
This card uses Archiver's paper. The martini glass was colored with Copics and cut out. I stamped Girls Night Out and cut the circle in half. The white cardstock was scored to give it a subtle texture. I layered the glass, circles and papers. I added a couple of buttons and a ribbon to finish it off.
This cute lil' purse was cut using my Cricut machine. (Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More, cartridge) The paper is by SU! I stamped the purse in pink and added a itty bitty pearl. I used my Nesties, added some pink ribbon, a satin handle, and a glittery Prima flower. You could tuck a small sweet surprise in this wee purse!

This purse was cut using a SU! template. The paper is by Wild Asparagus and Webster's Pages. The image was stamped and little flower was added to it. The Nesties were used once again! I added a few little pearls to the bottom of the purse and a satin handle.

I have had so much fun being the guest blogger for JustRite! I love their products and hope I've inspired you this week!
Be sure to leave Michele a comment and tell her which project was your favorite.

Day 4 with Michele Kovack

WOW!! Today Michele has tons of projects to share with you using our Coffee Set. The variety of projects that our design team has designed using this stamp set is amazing! Today Michele will continue to wow you with this over the top Coffee Ensemble!!

For today's post I used the Just a Little Caffeine Borders and Centers to create a sampling of cards and such. It is such a fun set! I bought this coffee cup awhile ago to alter and decided to use the sentiment, Is There Really Life Before Coffee? For me my morning truly doesn't get started until I have my cup o' joe! I stamped the inside sentiment in Brown Momento Ink, cut it out using my Spellbinders, then airbrushed it for a bit of color.

I stamped the border in red and cut that out also using the Spellbinders. For the final layer, I cut the star using those Spellbinders......again! I distressed all 3 pieces with Tim Holtz Antique Linen. The paper that comes with the cup was used as a template for my paper. I cut it to the same size. I created a border in the center and adhered my circles/star. I added some glittery swirls under the star. For a couple of my cards I decided to use real coffee beans. I created a shaker card using the beans. I stamped the coffee border then used my Nesties to cut it out. Cut another circle the same size. One has the sentiment the other will be used for the backing. The one with the sentiment I took a smaller scalloped circle and cut out the inside. I replaced it with a piece of acetate. Glue the acetate to the back of the bordered sentiment. On the other circle that was cut, place foam squares around the circle's perimeter. Place several coffee beans in center. Adhere the circle with the acetate window to the top. Now ya have a shaker coffee bean card!

On the small scalloped card I used 3 beans for the center.

The card was cut using my largest scalloped Nestibility. The edges were inked and a pink bow was added to the top.

The coffee cup card was paper pieced and layered over several Nestiblilities dies. I distressed the edges, added some lace and buttons. The paper is Wild Asparagus. (Another "vintage" paper) I used liquid applique for the steam.
For my last card I used Basic Grey paper. The image was stamped and colored with Copics. I used Crystal effects on top of the coffee beans. The image was cut using my Spellbinder's Nestibilities and distressed with ink. I added a ribbon a few buttons to finish it off.
