Day two with Michele Kovack - All American Girl

Today Michele has a fun 4th of July project - which would be perfect for your 4th of July festivities. A little treat for those special kids celebrating America's Birthday.
Good morning!
Every year my sisters and their kids meet at my parent's house in Michigan.

So this year I thought I would make little buckets for my two nieces and two nephews. I found these buckets at Target in the dollar spot. I used strips of 4th of July paper to glue around the bucket. (I found that using magnets on the bucket holds the paper until dry! Just a little tip!)

I die cut the large stars from heavy duty cardboard and my Nestibilities. (The cardboard is hoarded from various things I buy through the mail and such! I never throw anything away!) I use cardboard because it holds it shape much better than cardstock. I painted each of the stars white, then while wet I sprinkled Diamond Dust on top. After it was dry, I shook off the excess, took some Tim Holtz distressing ink and swiped all the edges of the star. I stamped All American Girl/Boy using the 1 5/8" stamper with 15 point Times New Roman Font using black Momento Ink. The circles were then cut using my Spellbinder's Nestibilities. The stars in the center were actually from Prima. (Although you could use the same techinique mentioned above! I was just being lazy! : ) I swiped those itty bitty stars with some distressing ink as well and glued them to the center of the circles. You want to use a pretty heavy duty glue on those stars. I actually use Aleene's Fabric Glue. I found it to be pretty darn strong!

I filled the buckets with some cute socks, sunglasses, bubbles, pencils, hair bows for the girls, post-it notes, and necklaces!

Keep us in mind....."When it needs to be JustRite".

Your examples of what can be done with JustRite stamps is awesome!

Now how about using some of your stamps in art clay projects? We'd love to see what can be done.
