Michael's Dollar Store Finds with a JustRite Touch

Today we have a great JustRite twist on how to use your from the Desk of, from the Kitchen of and from the Library of borders. First let's look at the border set with a monogram:
Now simply cut your border after the embellishments- cut a clean snip and you will have the option to use the full border or a partial border. Next use your 6pt small letters to write your full name in the bottom half of the border like this:
Now you have designed a Custom Stamp from the supplies you already have or now "really need to own"

Next we made a trip to Michael's Dollar Bin and found a great assortment of coordinating items and for under $5.00 we designed this great set:

Spiral Bound Notebook:
To make this notebook, cut a piece of DCWV silver paper 1 ½” x 5 ¼” and emboss using the Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder. Adhere to the side of the notebook. Apply narrow white Christmas trim to each long side of the silver paper. Tie pieces of the same white Christmas trim to the spiral rings.
Load the 1 5/8” Harmony block as shown. I used the “From The Desk Of” border ring from JB-07300 (Three Border Set – Library of, Desk of, Kitchen of). I cut the border in half so that I only had the top portion of the ring and then I added my name on the bottom portion of the block using the Small Letter Set (JB-07275). **This was stamped on white cardstock using Versamagic Aegean Blue and diecut using Spellbinders circle Nestabilities. Die cut a blue scallop mat and a white scallop mat using Spellbinders Scallop Nestabilities.** Adhere all layers together and adhere to the bottom corner of the notebook.

Notepad with pen:
Cover the notepad with a 4 ½” x 3” piece of DCWV silver paper. Cut a piece of WorldWin Light Tempting Tanzanite paper 4 ¼” x 2 ¾”. Emboss using the Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder and adhere to the center of the silver paper. Apply white Christmas trim on each side. Stamp & layer verbiage like you did for the Spiral Notepad.

Notecards:
Cut a strip of DCWV silver paper 1 ½” x 5”. Emboss using the Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder and adhere to the center of the notecard. **Stamp & layer verbiage to coordinate with your set.

Supplies:
JustRite Stampers:
JB-07300 Three Border Set – Library of, Desk of, Kitchen of
JB-07275 Small Letter Set
JB-08115 Harmony Classic Circle I – wood
Paper: DCWV, Worldwin Light Tempting Tanzanite
Spellbinders: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities
Accessories: Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder, Versamagic Aegean blue, white narrow Christmas trim

Stay tuned for tons more gift ideas!! Thanks for visting!!

Day Five with Julie Buhler

JustRite Stampers would like to thank Julie for sharing all her beautiful JustRite Projects with us this week. Thanks for all the organizational tips and inspiraton Julie!! You can continue enjoying Julie's creativity by visiting her blog Paper Pleasing Ideas. Today Julie has an awesome project that will help us all organize our projects for the New Year.

We all make resolutions, and then we slowly digress till we fail to keep them. Like say, we want to send cards to everyone, but soon the card doesn't even get in the envelope, much less get the stamp on it. I created an easy project to do, to keep you on track with your card giving in the New Year.
I designed this book with 24 pages. The first page is labeled January, and every other page after is the rest of the months. You write on the appropriate month the special events, occasions, etc that you will need to make cards for. If any of them need to be mailed, the page after each month is an address page. So the dates, and where they need to be mailed to are all conveniently in one place! Download and print 6 sheets of the list page. If you think you will need more than one address page per month, print off 8 sheets. Then you need to cut them in half both ways. You will now have 24 pages for your book.

Now you need 2 pieces of chipboard cut to 4.5 X 5.75 ~ I used the ones in the back of my 12 X 12 Designer Paper (DP) packs. You also need 4 pieces of DP : 2 (4.5 X 5.75), and 2 (5.5 X 6.75).

Using your Harmony rectangle block, compose the headers for your pages. I used the Trompe for the first letter of each word, and Brayton for the rest. The rest of my pages had the months of the year. Now it is time to make the covers of the book. Glue each of the chipboard pieces to the largest DP (5.5 X 6.75). Make sure it is centered, you should be left with approx. 1/2" over hang on each side. Then snip off all 8 corners on an angle

Now you can see why we cut the angles on the DP. When you glue down the over hangs, you will not get any binding in the corners. After you have glued it down, make sure to run your bone folder over the crease, to make sure the fold is crisp. Add the smaller piece of DP to the backside of the chipboard. ONLY DO THIS TO ONE PIECE FOR NOW. This will be the back cover of the book and the smaller piece of DP will face the inside of the book. Add your words to a panel that will decorate the front of the book. I used the Trompe and Brayton fonts again, but you can use what suits you more. I them layered it on a piece of scallop CS. Decorate the front of the book as desired, I added ribbon and brads. When it is all done, you glue on the last piece of DP to cover all the stuff on the backside. You can also see that I used sticky strip on my ribbon, to make sure it would stay put. Now all you have left to do is put it together. I used a Bind-It-All for mine, but you can punch holes, even add eyelets. Then you can tie it together with ribbon, use binder rings, or whatever else you can think of. This is what the inside of the book looks like. Hope you enjoy making this book and organizing for the new year. Have fun and happy stamping!!

Day 4 with Julie Buhler- Christmas Gifts

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! I am sure many of you will be busy today in your kitchens, making yummy things for your families. So when you get the chance to sit and relax later this evening here is a great Christmas Project Idea just in time for the Holidays. from Julie Buhler.
The perfect Christmas gift does not always come in Christmas colors. When you know someone's favorite color, why not create a little something special with that in mind?

I love JustRite Products for the sheer amount of versatility - you can create anything and personalize it every step of the way!! For this gift, I personalized the box, and then made the card to match. I didn't put much on the card, but here is why.

The flowers on the cards are covered in glitter, and it was so shimmery, that I could not cover it up. The box, as pictured, is also full of glitter. This is so easy to do! I just took some Berry Bliss paper, and used stickles on each of the flowers - my own designer glitz paper! Then, I made my name panel, and the girlfriends sentiment with my JRS. I used the Brayton font with the smaller Harmony Retangular block, and the new Chique Oval Stamper for the card. After I stamped them, they too got the glitter treatment. And don't you like the flourishes beside the name - they come with the fonts, and there are a lot to choose from!! Since we are talking about matching here, let me show you what is inside.
OH MY GOSH - how perfect is that ?!? I bought these M&M's speciafically with this project in mind, and so I had to buy them in October. They only come out for Breast Cancer Awareness, and I made my box big enough to fit their whole bag inside. Perfectly coordinated Christmas gift, right down to the chocolate inside!

Supplies :

Justrite Stamps : JB 08100 Brayton Font, Small Rectangular Harmony Block, JB 08190 Chique Oval Stamper, girlfriends center, 2 line border (justrite stampers)
Ink : regal rose, pretty in pink, chocolate chip (Stampin' Up!)
Paper : close to cocoa, white, rose red, berry bliss DP
Accessories : satin ribbon, corner rounder and wide oval punches, coluzzle, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!), nestibilities, crystal stickles, scor-pal (All That Scraps)

Day Three with Julie Buhler

Today Julie has a wonderful idea for sprucing up your guest bathroom with this Sweet Bathroom Ensemble...it'll make your guest feel like they are at a Spa.

The holiday season is also a time for guests. We all have company, but some of us have family or friends that travel fair distances to enjoy our wit and charm. The bonus with this next project is that it can be suited for anytime of the year that you entertain overnight guests.

Everything I got in the basket, ribbon and tissue included was under $10! This is an inexpensive way to greet your family. When I pack, I know I usually only bring the essentials. My basket includes the little extras to make their stay a bit more special. But, that's not all, it is totally redecorated so they can tell you have put some thought into it. You can change the patterned paper and colors for specific seasons, or specific guests.

I used the 2 5/16 Harmony Classic Circle Stamper II to design the words using the Brayton font. I then used my punches to make the medallions to go on each bottle. I wrapped the bottles in patterned paper and solid CS, before adhering the contents indicators (the technical term for words stamped on CS...hehehe). I know, you are thinking, how well will that hold up in the shower?

It won't, that is why I designed it to come off ! So, you can keep them, or if something comes up and you need to switch the colors, go ahead! You can take the papers off to refill the bottles, too, so that you won't spill on your creations. It is an easy and thrifty way to decorate your bathroom, but beautiful all the same!

JustRite Stampers: Harmony Classic Circle Stamper II, Brayton Font
Punches: Oval and Circle Punch - Stampin' UP
