Day 5 with Sharon Harnist -

A Huge THANK YOU to Sharon for sharing all her great project ideas with us this week. It was truly inspirational!! Remember you can visit Sharon daily on her blog Paperfections. Today Sharon has a fun project and a sneak peak of one of our stamps from our November Collection.

I’m wrapping up this week of guest blogging with a gift idea that’s good for just about any occasion, holiday or celebration … a wine gift set!10-5-WineSetSH

My wine bottle tag is quick and easy to create and dresses up the bottle, for a nice presentation. You can customize the tag with a sentiment or image specific to the occasion or even the monogram of the recipient. Here, I went with a sentiment that could be used for the Thanksgiving holiday … what a nice hostess gift this would be for either the host of your holiday celebration or even to the guests that share the holiday in your home!

This bottle is a little taller than the others in my collection, standing at about 13” (750ml bottle), so you may need to adjust the length of your tag by just trimming the bottom a little if it’s too long.

Start with a piece of cardstock cut to 2.75” x 10.25” (again, you may need to adjust the width of your tag if your bottle is a little wider and you want the tag to cover the wine label. Score 2.75” from the top end – this will create the neck of the tag that will bend over the neck of the bottle. Punch a hole in the center of the scored end – a 1.25” punch worked fine for my bottle. Now just decorate however you wish!

For my tag, I used this beautiful sentiment center and scroll border from JustRite’s large oval set, Autumn Blessings, stamped in simple and elegant basic black on cream cardstock. I die cut the entire image with Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities (2nd to the largest die in the large set), which matches this oval stamp set shape perfectly! Next, I adhered the oval sentiment to the tag, and then embossed the Classic Scalloped Oval over it (again using the 2nd largest die in the large set).

10-5-WineLabelSH

I finished the tag with some strips of punched note card left over from making the matching greeting card, a strip of clear Zva crystals and Heidi Swapp flower crystal on the sentiment oval.

10-5-WineCardSH

The matching greeting card was made from a coordinating box of blank note cards – I cut and combined some of the cards. Where the patterns meet on the lower part of the card, I added a strip of black velvet ribbon and Zva clear crystals on top of that!

This card also has the sneak peek I spoke about yesterday of a brand new JustRite product … yes, a SQUARE monogram/decorative frames borders!! Did you hear me squeal? I’ve been anticipating this product for quite some time!! More details about this set and and all the November release products right back here on the JustRite blog on Monday!

10-5-WineCardSqSH

The gorgeous monogram frame was stamped with black ink on cream cardstock and then die cut with Spellbinders Classic Square Nestabilities. It is popped up on foam tape on another piece of black cardstock die cut with Spellbinders Labels Three. Zva crystals adorn the corners and silver leafing pen outlines the square. What fabulous fun you’ll be able to have with this great new shape! Remember to check back here on Monday for all the details!

It’s been a pleasure sharing with you this week!

Sharon

Hello and welcome to a week full of Fall & Holiday JustRite inspiration! One of my favorite symbols of Fall are pumpkins, so I was delighted when JustRite’s Autumn Blessings set contained a beautiful pumpkin image! I used it as a tag to decorate these paper mache pumpkins that can be used as a Fall centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table and all through the Fall season.

10-PumpkinCenterOneSHI began by painting the paper mache pumpkins with acrylic paints and then glittered them with some lovely new Fire Opal tinsel glitter from Martha Stewart! (I’ve had these pumpkins for three years, so I’m sorry I don’t have a current source for them but most craft stores should have some sort pumpkins that you could replicate this project with).

Then I stamped the pumpkin center image and border separately onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and colored it with these Copic markers and Gold Spica glitter pen:

10-PumpkinCenterCopicsSH

The image was die cut as follows: The center was cut with the middle die in the large set of Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities and the border was cut with the largest of the small set of Classic Oval Nestabilities. The green scalloped base was cut with the largest die in the small set of Scalloped Classic Oval Nestabilities. The center image was popped up on foam tape and a hole punched so the tag could be tied to the small pumpkin.

I also created a Fall/ Thanksgiving card with this image, using the same steps as above. I layered the pumpkin image onto a Spellbinders Labels Four die cut and then added the image with foam tape to my card base made from some pretty Autumn papers by Making Memories. Hopefully you can see what a pretty accent the sparkle of the Copic Spica glitter pen adds to the pumpkin & leaf image here:

I think this Autumn Blessings set is very versatile -- making some wonderful three dimensional home accent projects, as well as cards and even scrapbook pages!

Day One with Barb Schram- Pumpkin Dip

It is Font week this week at JustRite!! We are going to knock your socks off this week. We have a full week of projects planned using JustRite Font - Monday thru Wednesday Barb Schram is our guest blogger. As always she has lots of fun fabulous economically gifts planned to share with you this week (Barb will be back to join us next week on Monday & Tuesday) because we will be interrupting her guest week to bring you a Mega Font Hop so big and so jammed with projects from 54 of your favorite designers that it will be a two day event. We also have a Huge Announcement on Thursday during the Font Mega Hop.... so don't miss it!!

So here's Barb... GOING FOR A DIP

PUMPKIN DIP! That is! Last year I discovered this dip recipe on SCS (Sandy Galley), and it is fabulous! ( the recipe is waiting for you at the end of this post). Fall is definitely in the air and before long the Thanksgiving season will be upon us! If you are in need of a gift for hostesses, a special neighbor, or even teachers, this could be it! I wanted quick packaging and found canning jars work quite well. There are many sizes of “Ball” brand canning jars. I chose a wide mouth, half pint, contemporary styled jar with platinum band/lid and found them at my local hardware store.

Of course, the jar lid was just too plain leave as is, so I was off to embellish! I stamped the pumpkin image from JustRite’s Autumn Blessings Set with Memento tuxedo black ink. Using my 2 ¼” x 3 1/16” oval wooden stamper, I stamped the pumpkin center image only. This allowed die cutting my image into a circle. I used a Spellbinders Classic circle die to accomplish this!
Copic Markers used: YR09, YR65, YR68, E09, E31, E33, YG03, G07, G21, G24, and 0(colorless blender). I love the pumpkin image and leaves, suggestive of what is waiting inside the jar!

Utilizing JustRite’s 50pt. and 25pt. Curlz font, I created a tag for my pumpkin dip jar. You can see the letter setup in above photo. Placing the letters on my 1 5/8” round wooden stamper worked well, stamping with same ink as previously mentioned.
The Spellbinders Tags 5 die had the right size tag among the five to choose from. I stamped “Pumpkin Dip” first, and then positioned my tag die for a perfect fit. I thought JustRite’s Curlz Font was just right; it carried the whimsical theme of the curls surrounding the pumpkins and leaves, don’t you think? Tag is tied around bow center with bakers string.

THANK YOU, JustRite! I am thrilled to be guest blogging a few days this week and next! Especially when we have the Font Blog Hop to look forward to! This Thursday & Friday! Take good care!
Now for the recipe!

PUMPKIN DIP RECIPE (Sandy Galley)
1- 8oz. softened cream cheese (any brand, regular type; not reduced fat, etc)
2-7oz. jars Kraft Marshmallow Crème
1-15oz. canned Libby’s Pumpkin
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Grated Orange Rind (I used in the jar spice kind, but you can use fresh if you want!)
Mix cream cheese and marshmallow cream until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Serve as a dip accompanied with vanilla wafers, thin chocolate wafer cookies, graham crackers, bagels, sweet breads, muffins, apple slices! Endless possibilities! Makes 4 Cups. Store leftover dip in refrigerator.

Thanks Barb, for a terrific project complete with a recipe!! Be sure to stop back in tomorrow to see Barb's next creation...you are gonna love it.

Day One with Angela Barkhouse- Autumn Scrapbooking

This week Angela Barkhouse will be our guest blogger. She has tons of fun projects that you will want to case-including Scrapbook Pages, Mini albums and a fun Calendar Project.

This month we do not have a new release (a little birdie told us that you have a few more items on your wish list that you need to purchase before the next release). But don't fret because we have a jam packed month full of events planned for you including a Mega Font Blog Hop!! If you loved our Christmas Blog Hop...you won't want to miss our next blog hop. So....

The Blog Hop is so large that it will be a two day event!! We have 50 designers lined up to inspire you to pick up your JustRite Font and get busy customizing everything you make!! Or if you have taken the font plunge yet....you are going to want too!!

Today Angela breaks out her font and her Autumn Blessing Stamps to create this fun fall page!!
Every year my daughter Emily just can't wait to rake leaves. She grabs the rake and spends time making a pile of leaves, jumps in them, and then just "leaves" them there for me to pick up. Someday I need to teach her how to actually pick up the leaves and take them to the woods.
When I received the new Autumn Blessings Stamps, I knew right away that I was going to make a scrapbook page. When I saw all the images for this set I knew it would be the perfect set for lot's of my Fall scrapbook pages. I stamped my center & border onto Neenah White cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I stamped the center and border seperately so that I could popup the center image. I colored the image with my Copic markers and then diecut each with Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities. These oval stamps and the oval nestabilities are the perfect match. The two scalloped mats are Spellbinders Scallop Oval Nestabilities.

The trees on either side of my page were cut using my Cricut Expression and the "Stretch Your Imagination" cartridge. I really like the new options on the Cricut Expression whihch allowed me to choose the option "Fit To Page" which cuts the tree large enough for a scrapbook page without having to guess and cut multiples while trying to find the right size. In this case, the tree is cut at 11 1/2". For this page I decided to cut the tree in half so that I could frame each side of the page with a tree branches. This requires for one side of the tree to be flipped over before I embossed the tree trunks using the Cuttlebug Forest Branches embossing folder.

My colorful leaves are also cut using my Cricut Expression and the Doodlecharms cartridge. For my pile of leaves I cut several different sizes of leaves adjusting them as I filled my page with leaves. Next I decided to add extra journaling to my page by picking words tha remind me of Fall.
This is where JustRite stamps came in handy once again. I just loaded the word onto my horizontal wood stamper with the Times Roman 25 point font and stamped it onto the leaves. The interlocking grids ensure that my letters are always lined up perfectly. This makes journaling and personalizing my pages so easy.

The acorns were cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. They were applied to the page using popdots to lift them up above the leaves.

Be sure to stop into tomorrow to see Angela's next project for Back to School! You are going to love it!!

I use Google Reader and honestly I'm not sure how many blogs I read - probably at least 100 a day (some faster than others). I read the Just Rite Blog daily (love the products!) and I do check the Shared google reader a couple of 3 times a week!
