It's all about the Candy Corn Treat Wrap

It's hard to believe that Halloween is Friday. This week the JustRite Blog will be featuring a full week of Halloween ideas. Today we are sharing this fun Trick or Treat Wrap bag designed by Kellie Fortin.

This is a really easy project to make with the whole family. First die cut the treat bag with AccuCut's Bag Treat Wrap (3-D) Crease Extra Long Cut Die. This die from AccuCut cuts and creases your project. Fold on crease lines. Add Orange and White Polka Dot Ribbon from Creative Impressions. Fill a poly treat bag with candy corn. Place inside the treat wrap to determine how much corn needs to be placed in your poly treat bag. Make any necessary adjustments. Fold over the top of the poly bag and staple twice to secure candy corn in the bag. Next place the corn in the bag treat wrap, ensure that it will indeed stand and staple the poly bag to the front of the treat wrap bag. Ensure that the flap from the backside of the wrap will cover your staples. Next place adhesive on the tab on the backside of the wrap and adhere to the front of the wrap. You have now assembled your bag treat wrap.

To decorate you bag treat wrap – choose a designer border from the 10 Designer Border and Centers Kit. Snap the border into your Harmony Classic Circle Stamper I. Next using Curlz 25 pt font (from Curlz Font Kit) design your desired message. Ink the image using Versamagic Tea Leaves ink and stamp on white cardstock. Die cut with a Marvy Circle Punch. Set aside. Next punch an orange piece of cardstock using the Marvy Scallop Circle Clever Lever Giga Craft Punch. Then using a Marvy Scalloped Circle Clever Lever Super Jumbo Punch die cut a yellow scallop. Dry emboss both die cuts using the Swiss Dot A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder.

To make your scalloped circles into flowers simply use scissors to cut between each scallop. Cut just far enough into the circle to make petals. Next fluff the petals of the flower and gently rub the edges of the flower with VersaMagic Red Magic Ink to highlight the edges of the flower petals. Now assemble your embellishment as shown in the picture above. Add 2 candy corn stickers to the center of your image.

To design your tag “It’s all about the candy corn”. Use the smallest harmony rectangular stamper and design your verse using the 25 pt Curlz font. Ink your stamp with Tea Leaves VersaMagic and stamp. Use the appropriate tag from the Spellbinders Double Ended Tag Trios and die cut the phrase. Mat with a scrap or orange cardstock that has been dry embossed using the A2 Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder. Add brads or Rhinestone accents.
