Today Becca has an exquisite set of baby cards to share with us. These will be a perfect addition to your card stash.
The Elegant Baby
Who doesn’t like to make baby cards? I wanted to make some elegant options instead of the normal pink and blue so I selected cream/gold and white/silver palettes to work with. When creating the small baby buggy, I knew it would be the perfect place to show off the new 2 3/8” stamper paired with the small but versatile 15 point alphabet. Because of the size, the letters fit perfectly in the bottom part of the buggy.
The buggy is made by cutting a Spellbinders Standard Circle Large in half and then the hood is made by turning a half circle on a 90 degree angle. The wheels are made by stacking the circles from two punches. The handle is a swirl taken from Spellbinders Doodle Parts. The scalloped trim is cut from a Martha Stewart Edger.Who doesn’t like to make baby cards? The words were embossed stamped with a Versamark pad and either gold or silver embossing powder. It was well worth the time to stamp and emboss the words before cutting them out.
Here are the items I used – The JustRite 2 3/8” Wooden Stamper Set and the Justrite Times New Roman 15 point font that comes with the JustRite 2” Wooden Stamper set.
