Witch Way to the Treats?? Did you say Blog Candy??

Last week was so busy with design inspiration from the Stamper's Dream Team and the JustRite Design Team that we did not get a chance to appropriately celebrate the introductions of our two newest sets "Witch Way to the Treats" and "Autumn Blessings". These will be available to order on July 22nd - That is this Wednesday!!

For this fun card I used lots of glitter papers. I stamped my images using Memento Grape Jelly and them I colored the images using Copic Markers. I used a 1 3/8" circle punch (EK Success or SU) to punch out the images and I used the SU Flower Punch to Punch Out my mats. The card base is 6x6 and the very glittery black paper is from a Best Occasion Glitter Pack (which I found at Walmart). The Yellow & Green Glitter papers are from my DCWV Glitter Stack. As you can see from my card design I love all the images in the set and just couldn't decide which stamp to use. This card uses nine of the ten images that come in the set.
Today we are celebrating the soon to be released set Witch Way to the Treats which fits in our 1 3/16" stamper----with of course a Blog Candy Treat. Leave a comment on this post by Tuesday night July 21st at 12 am EST to win the 1 3/16" stamper and the Witch Way to the Treats Stamps. Simply leave us a comment on this post and tell us what your favorite costume was from childhood? Or what your favorite fall memory from childhood is? For every 200 comments we receive we will add another blog candy winner.

In case you were too busy (with kids home for Summer Break) to join us for the hop - here all in one location are the first projects designed using this set from some of our design team members.
Michelle Kovack just posted this fun Halloween card on her blog today as for the CPS 125 Sketch Challenge. JustRite is the sponsor this week...and of course there will be a great prize package that will be announced later this week on the CPS Blog. If you missed the blog post about CPS Sketch 125 click here to read the JustRite Post and to find all the links to the CPS Challenge.

Barb Schram designed this beautiful box to fill with one of her favorite childhood treats. Barb combined the Witch Way to the Treats set with the border from the What's Cookin Borders & Centers - which gave her project a fun vintage look.

Barb made these fun Witches Hats using Keebler Cookies and Chocolate Kisses with Witlon Orange Frosting!! For more pictures and all the details visit her blog post.

Lisa Somerville designed this Spooky Halloween Ensemble - I love all Lisa's fun ideas for this set.
Don't you just love how Lisa used the images to make candy wraps for Hershey Nugget Treats!!
Taylor designed these fun treat bags using the set!! They are just so darn cute.

Here is a close up of the images Taylor used on her treat bags!! Just think of all the possibilities with this set!! Don't forget to leave a comment on this post for your chance to win this fun set with the coordinating wooden stamper.

Keep us in mind....."When it needs to be JustRite".

What a fun set! The DT did such a good job with all the great samples. My favorite Halloween dressup was a hobo. My friends took their brothers and dads oldest clothes and did our own "thing"...we had a ball. What a happy memory!

These images are adorable!! They'd look cute on treat bags or individual candies among other things. When we were kids there was no money for such things as costumes. We used dad's old clothes and became hobos or a sheet to be a ghost. Thanks for the chance to win this cute set.

Halloween has always been my very favorite holiday - even over Christmas. I've always loved making and wearing costumes. I remember when I was in third grade I made myself a hobo costume and walked to the library and participated in the parade. Next thing I knew I had won a fishing pole. I didn't even know I was in a contest! I hope I'm as lucky this time.

This set is so much fun! Your DT did a great job on the projects. I really want to remember those witch hat treats for this fall. I don't remember much about costumes when I was a kid, although I do remember having a nun outfit that I wore to play dress up sometimes. But the costume I liked the most was one we had my daughter dress in when she was young. We painted her face and hands green and covered with with a garbage bag and then covered a frisbee with aluminum foil and got that to stay on her head. She looked a great deal like Oscar the Grouch. She was so cute! I'd love to win this set. Thanks for the chance!

So stinkin' cute! I LOVE the witch hat cookies - so creative! I'll definitely have to remember that one for Halloween! That'll make an easy snack for my kids' classes in the fall!

My favorite fall memory is walking home from highschool with a boy I had a mad crush on.
Most memorable costume was when I dressed as a Chrismas tree (lights and all) and wore red shoes with little wrapped presents on them). That one won a prize.
Thanks for this chance at some great blog candy. Joyce B

I love all these new sets! I sure wish there were a store near me to see and buy them. Oh well, I guess that just means another e-order!

I seem to have blanked out Halloween costume memories but I was a hobo once. Hey, what can I say? It was the 60s!

Blessings,

I absolutely love this set. I was in the middle of embellishing two Halloween chipboard albums and put them aside until I could order this set.

I can't really remember a favorite childhood costume (too long ago I guess!). A favorite Fall memory though is driving up the Taconic State Parkway (NY) every year and looking at the beautiful foliage. We would always stop and buy apples and cider.

Thanks for the chance to win this set.

These are so fun and my head is already full of ideas for this set!!!

I always wore my fathers Army uniform for halloween... I know, not super creative, but we lived in Ohio and it was cold, and I could easily wear sweat pants and a sweat shirt underneath it and stay warm!

I LOVE both of these sets! What great blog candy. I know I always wanted my mom to buy one of those costumes from Target with the plastic mask like all my friends had. She never would and always made our costume, ugh! But now, looking back, my sister and I had the best costumes and my mom (now a grandma) has the coolest dress up box for our kids to play with. I guess being a poor country kid had some advantages. My mom rocks! I loved all our costumes, my hula one was my favorite but I had to wear a winter coat over it so it lost the effect we were going for!

Great projects with these stamps. I love them. My favorite Halloween costume was Bride of Frankenstein. After we were married a few years, friends had an amazing Halloween party - every adult dressed so I wore my wedding gown and did up my hair and make up as the Bride of Frankenstein. What fun we had.

What fun Halloween treats! Love them all. My fav costume was from when I was about 8 yrs old and my mom made me a skeleton costume out of a white sheet. She drew all the bones on it and labeled them with their correct names! It was really cool! The best one I ever made was for my oldest son. We dressed him like a construction worker and made a bulldozer out of a cardboard box and hung it from his shoulders. He looked like he was driving it!

I LOVE this Halloween set! One of my most memorable costumes was when my siblings and I were dressed as the Pied Piper -the oldest - and the rest of us were mice. We won a prize for that one.

This set is adorable! My favorite Autumn child hood memory is my mother taking me into town to buy the fabric to make winter clothes for me and my sister. The only store that sold fabric was a Ben Franklin. While we were there she let me buy a new box of crayons and a tin of 12 Prange water colors. I treasured my new crayons and paints , but I always dreamed one day she would buy the crayon box with 64 colors for me. That was the largest Crayola box at the time. But, she felt the 24 color box was plenty!

Loved the blog hop. My favourite costume is(i still have it) a witch costume mum made- the skirt is black tafetta and so I could get more wear out of it she included arm holes in the side seams so I could wear it as a dress or top and a black velvet cape with yellow lining- there was a hat to match but that has been lost over the years. My children wore it and now my grandchildren will be playing with it as well

I just love this set! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays especially since it is also my first child's birthday. When she was a very little girl, we would take her to our favorite local bakery to pick out her Halloween themed birtday cake. She would get so excited about the little plastic jack-o-lanterns that were on top the cake! The costume I liked the best from my oen childhood was a long black skirt my mother made for me. It was trimmed with bright orange crepe paper ruffles which at the time I thought were quite elegant! Iris

Halloween was not so costume focused when I was growing up, but I must say that I made a lot of costume for my 2 children. They had lots of unique requests and one that I worked particularily hard on was the request from my daughter when she was 9 years old. She requested to be a blue jay. I made many blue felt feathers and she looked pretty cute!

When I was about 12 years old I found an old "flapper" costume at my Grandma's. For you youngins' out there these were dresses, about knee length, with no waist but lots of long fringe. I wore a long string of beads around my neck and a beaded headband around my forehead. I always felt as though I was a part of that era..... Who knows?

My wonderful grandmother made Chinese costumes for all seven of us children that we wore in the local summer parade then again for Halloween. She made the girls wigs with piles of yarn hair stacked on top. The boys had hats with a yarn pig tail down the back as they pulled the surrey with the youngest in the back. They were a riot (and itchy). Along with the kimono and cummerbund she made, we must have worn those for several Halloweens!
