Decorative packaging for more sweet treats

Part of this week's project challenge was to find inexpensive items in packaging that would be easy to alter. For today's project we found this great clear acetate box of Non-Pareil’s. Although these are now readily available everywhere I remember that you could only find these at Christmas or as Snow Caps at the movie theater when I was growing up. So this gift idea had some instant sentimental value.

Cut a strip of paper approximately 1” wide and adhere to the side of the container. Cut a 5 ¾” circle and adhere to the top of the container. Using the Cricut Expression and the Accent Essentials cartridge, die cut 4 flowers (Accent26s) from red cardstock and 2 from green cardstock. Use red and black chalk to draw “veins” on the poinsettia. Use pop dots to stack the red die cuts into the shape of a poinsettia. Place green die cut “leaves” randomly around the poinsettia.
Using the Christmas Stamp Ensemble (JB-08150) and the Harmony Classic Circle III (JB-08117) stamp “Seasons Greetings” designer center onto cream cardstock using Versamagic Red Magic. Die cut using Spellbinders scallop circle Nestabilities. Chalk the edges with red chalk. Adhere with pop dots to the center of the Poinsettia and adhere to the top of the container cover.
