Today Barb Schram is back to finish her guest blogging week and she has a terrific Christmas Card for today's sketch.

SNOWFLAKES are…
After the holiday celebrations are over and winter marches on, what a wonderful card to brighten one’s day! JustRite is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems sketch challenge this week and I thought I would get a head start on those winter cards utilizing JustRite’s A Merry Little Christmas Set!

The outer ring border and center snowflake are from JustRite’s A Merry Little Christmas and stamped with Versafine vintage sepia ink. I utilized my JustRite 1 5/8” round wooden stamper to set my border ring and center.

Close-up detail of the outer stamped ring also reveals a cardstock button I made to use in the center. I used my stamped snowflake center in the upper left portion of the card design. After gluing 6 circle punched layers of designer paper, I created two button holes (with crop-a-dile), sanded edges, and placed crystal effects button top.
Copic markers BG10, BG72, and BG75 are the colors I used to coordinate the snowflake with my Basic Grey patterned paper. I applied liquid pearls with a very light touch to add just a little dimension on the snowflake and butterfly wings.

A detail photo of the butterflies…I added pearls to the butterfly spine. The first is made with liquid pearls and the bottoms two are adhesive pearls. I added machine stitching to follow the sketch layout instead of another layer of cardstock.

Wouldn’t you love to get butterflies in the winter? It’s a wonderful prompt to remember the promise of spring, and new beginnings are just around the corner. Oh…the versatility of JustRite Stamps! I hope you can give the sketch challenge a try this week, check out the CPS BLOG for details! On Wednesday, I will return with holiday ornaments to share! Think personalized, simple, and economical! Take good care! See you tomorrow!

Wonderful cards. I don't think that JustRite Stampers makes a stamp that I don't like. They are all wonderful and I wish that I could purchase all of them.

Thanks for sharing.
