250,000 Hits -Blog Candy Celebration- plus JustRite Stationery Set

Thank you to everyone who visits our blog!! We are very excited to announce that our blog counter has exceeded 250,000 hits and of course we are celebrating with Blog Candy!! First we have a great project to share with you designed by Angela Barkhouse and then we are giving away all the items that Angela used to make her project as blog candy. Note that we will be giving away multiply sets of prizes - at key levels we will add additional gift packages. For all the details on what you can win and how you can win it ..read the entire post!!

This is a great easy project to personalize. First we bought the box with the plain notecards from TJ Max. For under $5.00 and then Angela personalized the entire project by adding designer paper, ribboon and JustRite stamped embellishments. Most of the project could have been made from scraps. And what better way to show someone you care than a personalized gift. Or even better - how about creating personalized stationery for yourself. The box top and the Stationery Top looked like this before we started our JustRite makeover:

Angela adorned the box top with a strip of green floral paper from MOD as well as altering the sides of the box with the same paper. This pulled her design elements together. Next she added Sparkle and Shine ribbon from Michaels to the top and bottom of this strip as well as the front and sides. For a little bling she add blue Kaiser rhinestones. For her JustRite design element she used the Harmony Classic Oval Stamper II kit (JB-08180) and chose the “Imagine” designer center and star designer border. To create her embellishment for the top of the box she stamped the image using Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities (JustRite Stamps stampes are designed to match perfectly with Spellbinders Nestabilities). The only shape in our collection that is not a perfect match currently is our small oval. In May we will be introducing a new small oval that matches the exact Nestabilities oval shape. To create the "Notes from ME" embellishment Angela used the small rectangular stamper (JB-08110) and the Curlz Font Ensemble 25 pt (JB-08070) and stamped my sentiment “Notes from Me” onto white cardstock using Versamagic Aegean Blue. Then she cut out the verbiage using the Spellbinders Double Ended Tags.

Here are samples of three cards that Angela designed for her Stationery Set using the Oval Stamper I Ensemble with her Curlz Font:

She had a ton of fun playing with all her JustRite Toys.

Lovin' the recipe set! What did we do prior to JustRite???

Jessica said...

Easy, the vertical stamper - what a great idea! I love the idea of making personalized borders, which will be super simple with it!

Anonymous said...

I don't have any of the JustRite stuff but always am drooling over them. Are they REALLY as easy as they say to use? So hard to choose a favorite of the new stuff but, I think the vertical stamper set would be great fun to use. Then, I would have to choose a font set to go with it. So, maybe the recipe set might be a good first choice? I LOOOVE the Just a Little Caffeine borders and centers coming out in May. I don't even drink coffee but that set is just perfect for so many things. I love the stationary set! Hope I win so I can try them and wouldn't have to worry about which set to order first!

Well, I'm going between the vertical stamper and the lower case alphabet (Times New Roman), but I think I'll choose the vertical stamper. I think it would be great to use for making bookmarks -- or words/letters down a narrow strip along the side of a card.

I love the recipe borders and centers set. For years I've been meaning to make recipe cards of my grandmother's recipes. This would be a great way to give her favorite recipes--or my favorites--to family members as gifts. Congrats on your anniversary!

Sharon said...

I don't have any JustRite stamps, YET, but see so many lovely things that are done with them, so I guess that my first choice of the new stamps is rather basic. I would love to work with the 2" stamper with the 15pt Font & Center. I seem to be making a lot of circle and oval embellishments for cards these days -- especially with the wedding season coming up. I am also a font/alphabet addict, so the Trompe script font is a close and appealing second choice.
