Here at the JustRite Blog we are in the middle of designing this fun Monster Bash. Today I am sharing with you the centerpiece for the party. This fun Chocolate Cookie House Kit from Wilton. To my relief the Haunted House came pre-essembled!! Which certainly steamlined the process- no set-up time required for assembling the house. This is a super fun family project, Jack had a blast helping me design the house and is still asking when he can eat my project!

Since this is the centerpiece for the party - the center and the border from the Witch Way to the Treats stamp set expressed the perfect sentiment of most of my hungry party goers. These fun chipboard arrows from Bazzill were the perfect pieces to design my fun road sign. We altered them using a combination of glitter and paper. I used my inverted nestabilitie circles to die cut the orange layer of the stamped image and them used a micron pen to draw in a spider web on the outer edge of the die cut. I just love the whimsical feel of the Haunted Mansion.

For the sign I used Brayton 50 Point Font and inked the image using Memento Tuxedo black ink. To give it a spooky feel I added scraps of spider web borders which were created with the EK Success Spider Web Punch around punch. I used a purple Copic Marker to alter the fancy toothpick which became my sign post.

Here is a picture showing you how the party is coming together:

Next it was time to design a few Halloween Decorations to accent my table. I found this fun candle jar with eyeballs in it last Halloween and just knew this was the perfect accent for my Spooktacular Celebration. I used my Martha Stewart dripping blood border punch for the top of the jar and the spider web punch around for the bottom of the jar.

Using Brayton 50 pt font I created my tag for my jar "Eyes of Newt".

Yesterday I showed you this - what the Spider Web Punch around border looked like

as well as what you can create when you combine that punch with Martha Stewarts coordinating Spider Web Corner. For the top of my Eye of Newt Jar I made a square webbed mat. Next I added a inverted circle die cut of my favorite Halloween paper from Making Memories (it combines text with a spider web). I added a K&C Spider sticker and then stamped the spider web center from the Witch Way to the Treats sent on pale blue glossy cardstock. I used a red cardstock to mat the image - pulling the design elements of my piece together.

Jack gave this piece of my project a huge "Wow mom, that's awesome"....how did you make that!! So I know it will be huge hit at any party. To see my treat bags for the party - visit my personal blog - Polished to Perfection. Enjoy the second half of our amazing Mega Blog Hop and be sure to check back here on the JustRite Blog to see if your are one of the Lucky Mystery Blog Candy Winners.

JustRite Pop Rocking Halloween!!

Pop Rocks are back!! I am sure that everyone remembers pop rocks from your childhood. They were intoduced to the market in 1956 and sales of the product plunged in 1979 (when most of us were kids) because of a myth that if you ate Pop Rocks and drank lots of soda you would die when your stomach burst from all the gas. This was purely a myth and now your kids can experience that strange sensation of Pop Rocks exploding in their mouths.

Here is a fun and easy way to Jazz up your Pop Rock Treats.

Angela Barkhouse was inspired by Beate's Pocket Card Tutorial to create this fun Pop Rock Pocket Holder. To create your pocket cut Halloween Word Pattern Paper (from Making Memories) 4 ¼” x 11”. Score at 5 ½” and 1 ¼”. Corner round all four corners of paper. Fold at the 5 1/2" score line.(Halloween words should be inside the pocket. ) Now fold down the 1 1/4" tab toward you and adhere the front of pocket to the back of pocket. Adhere ribbon to the tab (created by 1 1/4" fold). Now cut a 3 3/8" x 3 1/2" piece Halloween Dot paper from Making Memories and adhere to the front of the pocket tucking the print behind the folded tab. Adhere the tab in place.

Using the small letter set, snap the JB o7275 6 pt small letters in the outer ring of your JB 08310 Monogram Stamper. Design the message " Have A Pop Rockin’ Halloween ". Stamp on pale orange cardstock. Die cut using the Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles. Chalk edges with orange chalk. Die cut a slightly large black cardstock scallop using Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circle.

Stamp pumpkin on orange cardstock. Punch out using 1 ¼” circle punch. Ink edge with black ink. Assemble embellishments as shown in photo. To create the tag pull Angela used the Cricuit Cartridge - Tags, Bags Boxes. She cut out a circle tag from orange cardstock and a slightly smaller circle tag from the Halloween Dot Paper. (this cuts two circles that are still connected). Place the Pop Rocks Packet between the circles and attach using a nail head.

HAVE A POP ROCKING HALLOWEEN!!

Supplies:

JustRite Stampers: JB 08310 Monogram Stamper, JB 07275 Small letter set

Paper : Making Memories - Halloween Word Paper, Halloween Dot Paper, pale orange, orange and black cardstock

Accessories: Cricuit Cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, Creative Impressions Ribbon, 1 1/4" circle punch

Halloween Take Out Box

Still need a special treat for your favorite spook. Here is a spooky Take Out Treat. The project was inspired by the Orange Coffin box we found at Michael's. When you open it, it has great sound effects - of a creaking coffin complete with ghoulish sounds and it is full of bone shaped candies. Just perfect for the boys on your list. We filled the container with candy fingers and marshmallow treats. We purchased the take out box at Michael's as well and added ribbon trim to the top and the bottom of the container.

To design the embellishments for this side of the box Angela used the 25 point Brayton Font Ensemble to design the designer center of the Harmony Classic I Stamper. The border is from the 10 Designer Centers and Border Ensemble. For a spooky accent we added movable eyes to the border. The image was then mated with multiply cardstock layers using Spellbinders Petite Circles and Scalloped Circles. Here is a closeup of the embellishment.

Here is the view of the backside of the treat box:
To design this side of the box Angela used the small letter set to create her verbiage "Caution Skeleton Crossing" on the outer ring of the Harmony Classic Circle I stamper 1 5/8" using the 6 point small letter set.Die Cut these using the Spellbinders Standard Petite Circle, Small #3 Nestabilities.

Using the “Boo To You” Cuttlebug embossing folder, emboss on white cardstock and use a 1 ¼” circle punch to punch out the skeleton. Add wiggle eyes and chalk the edges with yellow chalk, then use purple ink to ink edges. Die Cut black and Orange Cardstock scallop using Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles.

Supplies:
JustRite Stampers:
JB-07275 – Small Letter Set ,JB-08100 – Brayton Font Ensemble

C-R-E-E-P-Y Cupcake Box

If you love making cupcakes - You will love this AccuCut Box Cupcake (3-D) Die. It is so versatile. Cupcake boxes can be made for every holiday or occasion. Today Angela Barkhouse is sharing her C-R-E-E-P-Y Cupcake Box.

For this box, Angela die cut the cupcake box using MM Spellbound Halloween paper. (If your designer paper is lightweight - die cut 2 boxes and adhere them to each other. ). This AccuCut :
Box Cupcake (3-D) one size Crease was die cut using the GrandeMARKE Roller Die Cutting System. The die has 4 components to it. (Cupcake box bottom, an insert that holds the cupcakes in place inside the box, an acetate window for the box lid and the lid). For the Cupcake box lid cut two, place the acetate window between the two layers and adhere. To create the C-R-E-E-P-Y sentiment for the box top, Angela used the Harmony Classic Circle II Ensemble (JB-08120) block and one of the designer borders from this set with 50 pt Brayton Font Ensemble (JB-08100) to spell C-R-E-E-P-Y. She stamped it on yellow cardstock then diecut it using Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities. The purple mat was die cut out of fun foam using Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. Fun foam adds extra dimension to the project.

To create the embellishment for the side of the cupcake box, Angela designed her sentiment using the 1 5/8” Harmony Classic Circle I wood block (JB-08115) and the small 6 pt letter set (JB-07275). She custom designed the outer ring of the block with the phrase “OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE”. To design the center of the embellishment Angela used her leftover scraps of her cupcake box paper and die cut the center of a spider web. Then she placed the cute spider sticker on the web. The mat is diecut out of black fun foam using Spellbinders Scalloped Nestabilities.
For the back side of her cupcake box, Angela used the small harmony rectangular block (JB-08110) and spelled “EEEEEK” using the 50 pt & 25 pt Brayton Font Ensemble (JB-08100). This is diecut using the Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles Nestabilities and once again used purple fun foam to mat. Of course, this saying needed to have a cute little spider sitting next to it. Last step, she added some Happy Halloween ribbon around the top of the box and then it is complete. Just add a YUMMY CUPCAKE!!!!!!

Supplies:
Dies: AccuCut Dies:Box Cupcake (3-D) one size Crease ,GrandeMARKE Roller Die Cutting System, Spellbinders - Circle & Scalloped Nestabilities, Long Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities
Paper: Memory Makers Spellbound Halloween paper, Halloween Stripe
Accessories: green and black fun foam, whimsical spider stickers

It's all about the Candy Corn Treat Wrap

It's hard to believe that Halloween is Friday. This week the JustRite Blog will be featuring a full week of Halloween ideas. Today we are sharing this fun Trick or Treat Wrap bag designed by Kellie Fortin.

This is a really easy project to make with the whole family. First die cut the treat bag with AccuCut's Bag Treat Wrap (3-D) Crease Extra Long Cut Die. This die from AccuCut cuts and creases your project. Fold on crease lines. Add Orange and White Polka Dot Ribbon from Creative Impressions. Fill a poly treat bag with candy corn. Place inside the treat wrap to determine how much corn needs to be placed in your poly treat bag. Make any necessary adjustments. Fold over the top of the poly bag and staple twice to secure candy corn in the bag. Next place the corn in the bag treat wrap, ensure that it will indeed stand and staple the poly bag to the front of the treat wrap bag. Ensure that the flap from the backside of the wrap will cover your staples. Next place adhesive on the tab on the backside of the wrap and adhere to the front of the wrap. You have now assembled your bag treat wrap.

To decorate you bag treat wrap – choose a designer border from the 10 Designer Border and Centers Kit. Snap the border into your Harmony Classic Circle Stamper I. Next using Curlz 25 pt font (from Curlz Font Kit) design your desired message. Ink the image using Versamagic Tea Leaves ink and stamp on white cardstock. Die cut with a Marvy Circle Punch. Set aside. Next punch an orange piece of cardstock using the Marvy Scallop Circle Clever Lever Giga Craft Punch. Then using a Marvy Scalloped Circle Clever Lever Super Jumbo Punch die cut a yellow scallop. Dry emboss both die cuts using the Swiss Dot A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder.

To make your scalloped circles into flowers simply use scissors to cut between each scallop. Cut just far enough into the circle to make petals. Next fluff the petals of the flower and gently rub the edges of the flower with VersaMagic Red Magic Ink to highlight the edges of the flower petals. Now assemble your embellishment as shown in the picture above. Add 2 candy corn stickers to the center of your image.

To design your tag “It’s all about the candy corn”. Use the smallest harmony rectangular stamper and design your verse using the 25 pt Curlz font. Ink your stamp with Tea Leaves VersaMagic and stamp. Use the appropriate tag from the Spellbinders Double Ended Tag Trios and die cut the phrase. Mat with a scrap or orange cardstock that has been dry embossed using the A2 Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder. Add brads or Rhinestone accents.

Witchin' You a Happy Halloween

Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble... Witchin' you a Happy Halloween!!
Need a fun teacher's gift for your child's Halloween party complete with treats for all the students. We have just the project. We found this great witch jar at Michael's. We filled it with this fun Orange, Yellow and Purple Candy Corn. (it is orange flavored - love the look but didn't love the flavor).
To make the fun sentiment we used the new Oval Stamper Ensemble II and designed the "Witchin' you a Happy Halloween"using Curlz 25 point font. Next we picked this fun whimsical border from the set and added movable eyes to every other circle. Spellbinder's Oval and Scalloped Nestabilities are a perfect match for diecuting this stamped image. The fun spiders are from K& Company. For the "Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble" treats Angela Barkhouse used her Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge. She created the witches brew cauldron by using the bracket accent and folding it in half. She die cut the frog using her Cricut Paper Doll Cartridge. The verse was designed by using the 25 point Times Roman Font and was die cut using a Spellbinders Rectangular Die. The Hershey nuggets were wrapped with Halloween Paper scraps from Making Memories and Theresa Collins. The Skull and Bones were die cut using the Cricut paper doll cartridge as well.

If you have a fun JustRite Halloween Project you would like to share, leave a link to your project here. We are looking for great Halloween Projects to feature on our blog!!

Michele Loves Halloween

It's day number 3 with Michele Kovack!! Today's projects will inspire you to dig out your Halloween paper and embellishments. Because you will want to start creating your Halloween Treats. Thanks Michele for all the Inspiration.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE HAlloween? I am not sure why it is my favorite holiday....but it is! So here are a couple of projects....

The first project is a vintage lunch tin. I used spray adhesive to apply the Designer paper directly to the tin. I believe the paper is Heidi Grace. I sanded the edges a bit. I then Cuttlebugged the vanilla cardstock with the spider web folder, then inked it a bit and distressed it. The main image is a Crafty Secret's image. I matted that image with pumpkin pie SU! paper, again distressing it. The sentiment was stamped using the Harmony Rectangular Stamper with 25 pt Brayton Font. I stamped it directly onto another Crafty Secret's image....the spider web. I happened to have a plastic spider in my stash and decided he would be perfect! I adhered 2 buttons tied with twine to the left corner. I then added the trim at the bottom and on the handle along with ribbon and a glass Halloween ornament.

The second project was created using a baby food jar. (Go Green baby!) So those of you that have little ones, start hording now! Attach the designer paper with redline tape around the jar. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the green "goo." Adhere that with red line tape also. Attach buttons using fabric glue or pop dots.

The top of the jar was cut using various sizes of Spellbinder's Nestibilities. The witch's hat is a Lockhart image. I colored it in with my Copics and then cut it out. I topped it off with Crystal Effects. The sentiment was stamped in white, using the Small Letters Set in my Harmony Classic Circle I Wooden Stamper. Add some candy corn and you have little treats for a class, neighbors, party.......you get the idea!

Round Two Tuesday

It's time to start thinking about Halloween. EEEEK! Can you believe that fall is quickly approaching? For today's inspiration/challenge I thought it would be fun to get into "scary" mode and make a Halloween card. If you are needing a little Stampin Champion inspiration try to make a Halloween project today and of course use ANY JustRite product on your entry.

Make sure to link any of your entries here in the comments so we can find your project. You can enter multiple times and you can win multiple gift certificates too! Again, I used the Small Letter Set to create my border sentiment but used the new "you're invited" center that comes with the Designer Centers and Borders set that will be released mid-September.

Here is a close up of the border sentiment that was made with the Small Letter Set. Also, as Margie commented yesterday, when loading your letters you have to load them backwards or you will end up with a funny looking sentiment.
Today is the last day to vote for the first Stampin Champion and it is a close race. I feel a Michael Phelps moment coming on and the winner is going to win by a fingertip. Sooooo exciting! Thanks for participating and if you would like to take one more look at the finalist before you vote click here.

Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet....

It's already day four with our Guest Blogger, Lauren Meader and she has done some incredible gift sets this week. Today you get a "treat" with her fun Pixie Stix holder.

Can you tell yet how much I adore the JustRite Small Letter Set yet? I can't NOT use it.

We are all familiar with that fun saying "trick or treat, smell my feet................." Well that is certainly what inspired this next creation! You must remember Pixie Stix? This is a super cute, and super simple holder for them.

I used orchid opulence cardstock to create the holder.

Cut your cardstock to 3 3/4 x 11

Along the 11 inch side score at

4 1/2

5 1/2

9 1/2

10 1/2
Now, in that 1 inch space (9 1/2 to 10 1/2) use your word window punch to create an opening for the pixie stix.Put adhesive on that 1/2 inch strip along the (the 11 inch mark), and adhere it to the back of the holder :D

I then put a strip of patterned paper at the bottom. Tied around a ribbon.

I created my Halloween sentiment using my small letter set. I stamped in white craft ink, onto black cardstock, then punched out.

I stamped my witch on white cardstock, colored and popped her out, layering her in the center of my sentiment

I then put a strip of patterned paper at the bottom. Tied around a ribbon.

Insert the stixs and you are done! A super cute treat to mass produce for those little trick or treater's in your life.
