Welcome back to my final day here at JustRite – I hope you have enjoyed the week as much as I have!!! My last project is a set of matching cards that incorporates many of the November Releases, which are available NOW!!!!

The first card is a Thinking of You card which is made using the new Just A Note Centers and Borders set. I started with a base of Very Vanilla, Pink Bazzill and My Mind’s Eye Whirlybird paper and topped with a layer of more pink and vanilla that has been embossed using the Moroccan Screen embossing folder. I stamped the centre and border in Old Olive and Regal Rose and cut it out with Large Circle Nestabilites and matted it with pink cut with the Label 5 Nestabilities. I finished off with some Kaisercraft Rose Pearls and some green May Arts Ribbon.

The second card – a Birthday Card – has also been made using the Just A Note Centers and Borders set and is this time framed with the new 2” Round Decorative Frame Borders. Once again I used the pink bazzill and layered with Vanilla embossed with Moroccan Screen as a base. I took another piece of MME Whirlybird and matted it with pink bazzill that had been punched on both sides with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch. Around this I attached some ivory satin ribbon and a bow made with the Bow Easy. The main panel has been stamped in Tempting Turquoise and Regal Rose using the Just A Note Center and the border from the 2” Round Decorative Frame Border Set. It was then cut out with the Large Circle Nestabilities and popped up on light and dark pink panels cut with the Blossom Nestabilities set and embellished with a couple of Rose Pearls.

The last card – a Thank You Card – has been made using the new Square Decorative Frame Borders and the Just A Note set. The base is Very Vanilla, light pink bazzill, dark pink bazzill and then some more paper from MME Whirlybird range. The next panel is more Whirlybird paper cut with the Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities. The sentiment is made of the Just A Note (centre) stamped in Old Olive and the Square Decorative Frame Borders (Border) in Regal Rose. Originally I was going to cut it out with the square nestabilites until I saw how perfectly it fit inside the Label 1 Nestabilities!! Then I was delighted to discover that the Fancy Tags die cut fit perfectly under that!!! I added some thin ivory satin ribbon through the tag and popped the sentiment panel up on foam tape and finished by adding Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the corners and each side of the tag.

Day 4 with Kathy Jones - Sprinkled with Love

First I would like to answer a few questions from yesterday's post. Kathy lives in Australia and in Australia hardware stores carry Kaiser Kraft Products. Many of you thought this would be a great idea -since all our Hubby's wouldn't mind a trip to the hardware store right? Also in Aussie lingo a basket is called a hamper.

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 4 of my Guest Blogging week! Today’s project is a fun one for the little girl in your life!!

My daughter is 2yrs old and loves pink, yellow and all things fairy related!! I had this paper mache wand just begging to be decorated so I coated it with yellow paint and waited for it to dry. I stamped the sentiment using the Celebrations Demi Phrases and the Font set from the 2” Font and Center Set. The beautiful heart image is from the Favorite Occasions Borders and Centers Set. I stamped it all in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured the heart in markers and a blender pen. It was cut out using the Large Circle Spellbinders and matted with pink cut using the Small Circle Spellbinders. I glued it to the wand, added some pink Kaisercraft Rhinestones to each point and some pink ribbons to the handle of the wand.

Because all girls like to put their treasures in boxes I made a matching 2-5-7-10 box (found at SCS - http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/2_5_7_10_box/ ) using yellow card for the base and some My Mind’s Eye Abbey Road paper to decorate the front. Once again I use the 2” Font and Center Set to make the sentiment in the Favorite Occasions Borders and Centers Set for the heart and coloured it to match. My daughter loves a show called ‘The Fairies’ where everything is ‘Fanfairytastic’ so it seemed the perfect sentiment to add!!

JustRite Purse- Day 2 - Kathy Jones

Today - Kathy has a great gift idea to share.

Today’s project is a handbag shaped gift or storage box. The handbag is a wooden kit from Kaisercraft and comes as bare chipboard. I took each piece and painted it with Antique White paint a couple of times for good coverage and waited for it to dry. I then cut out the paper for the front from Kaisercraft’s Vagabond paper range to cover the front. Across the bottom I added a strip of cream card that had been punched on one side with the Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch and adhered some sage ribbon over the top. Using the Bow Easy I made a matching petite bow to add to the side. On the handle I tied some cream satin ribbon and added a green prima flower with a Blush Pearl. Underneath the flower are some chocolate flourishes cut using Doodle Parts Spellbinders set.

The Monogram centre has been stamped using the 1 3/16 Damask Border and Font Set, coloured with markers (chocolate chip, sage shadow) and cut using the Large Circle Spellbinders set. The monogram has been popped up on a Label 4 die cut that has been embellished more Blush Pearls.

Christmas Card- Day One with Kathy Jones

This week Kathy Jones our JustRite Design Team Member from Australia is joining us as our guest blogger. You will want to pop on over today to Kathy's personal blog -Inspired to Stamp because she has been playing with her new stamp sets from the November Release that just arrive Down Under late last week. She has two terrific projects there. Today Kathy will show you just how versatile our stamps are as she used components from 3 different stamps sets to create todays gorgeous card.

Hello Everyone! I am so looking forward to a fun week here at JustRite with all sorts of projects to show you!!

Today’s project is a Christmas Card! It’s that time of the year and I’ve just realised how close Christmas is, so it’s time I got busy with cards or I’ll be making them at the last minute! I couldn’t decide which of the beautiful Christmas Sets to choose from, so I ended up using THREE! LOL!!
I started with a deep pink bazzill base and layered with Gold, Very Vanilla and some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DSP. Next I took a piece of Vanilla, punched both sides with the Fiskars Lace Border Punch and embossed it with Swiss Dots embossing folder. Across the bottom I’ve knotted some gold ribbon that I’ve had in my stash since last Christmas! The sentiment is from the Christmas Joy Set and I’ve stamped only ‘Blessings’ in black on Vanilla and then cut it out using the Fancy Tags Spellbinders Set and lightly sponged the centre with Rose Red and popped the panel up on the ribbon.

The main image is a combination of Christmas Treasures (centre)

and Old Fashioned Christmas (Border), which I’ve stamped in Versamark on Vanilla twice and embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut both with Large Circle Nestabilities and popped the centre panel up on foam tape and matted the whole piece with more deep pink bazzill cut using the Large Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. To finish I added some Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the top corner and each side of the sentiment.

Kathy Jones Day 5 - Friendship Notes

Welcome back to my last Guest Blogger day! I can’t believe it’s my last day already – I’ve had a wonderful time this week. Today’s project is a Mini Pizza Box and some matching 3 x 3 gift cards. I found this awesome tutorial for this Mini Pizza Box at Splitcoaststampers - It is such a lot of fun and SO easy to make and only uses 1 sheet of cardstock!
I used white card to make up the box as per the instructional tutorial and then set about decorating the top. I used a piece of 3 ¾” Kiwi Kiss and layered with some Raspberry Tart DSP. I took a piece of left over white card and punched the edge using the Fiskars Embossing Eyelet Lace border punch and glued it to the bottom third of the panel and added some hot pink ¼” gingham ribbon. The flower is made using the Martha Stewart Branch punch for the branches, a Kaisercraft baby pink flower, punched the middle flower out of Pretty in Pink with the Boho Flower punch and finished with a pink Kaisercraft rhinestone. The main panel I stamped using the brand new Friendship Set by JustRite in black and coloured the flowers with markers and a blender pen, added more pink rhinestones to the centres and cut out with my Large Classic and Scalloped Circle Nestabilties. I finished off the box by adding some 1/2” hot pink gingham ribbon around the lid.

A friend of mine, when she saw the other previews, asked if I would use it much because it is so big. I told her there are so many ways you can use it, so today I made little 3 x 3 gift cards with this set. I stamped three different centres from the set and cut each out in different shapes. (Just because it comes in a circle doesn’t mean you have to cut it in a circle!!) I could have made bigger cards to fit in this box, but I just love these cute scalloped cards made with the largest of the Large Mega Scalloped Rectangles by Spellbinders, which when folded becomes the perfect 3 x 3” card!

The ‘Let your dreams Grow’ card has been stamped in Old Olive and cut with Circle Nestabilities. The panel below is Rose Red layered with Raspberry Tart DSP and some ¼” hot pink gingham added to the corners. The main image panel has been popped up on foam tape.

The Cake centre was cut with the Large Classic and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, coloured with markers and I pierced each of the scallops and popped it up over a panel of Kiwi Kiss and Raspberry Tart DSP with pink rhinestones in the corners.

The Friends centre was cut using the Label 1 Nestabilities, embossed the edge and coloured with markers. This was popped up on a panel of Kiwi Kiss, Raspberry Tart DSP with a ½” hot pink gingham ribbon.

The finished product is this cute, easy little gift set!

Kathy Jones Day 4 - Thinking of You

Welcome to the fourth day of my Guest Blog week!! How time is flying and I hope you’ve been having as much fun as I have this week! Today I’ve decided to make a card using the brand new, just released Thinking of You Set. I love making cards and it’s probably what I enjoy most. This would be one of the most beautiful, elegant stamp sets I’ve seen and perfect for Thinking of You and Sympathy cards. This set is available now from JustRite Stampers and is used with the Large Oval Stamper.

I started this card with Very Vanilla base and layered with Not Quite Navy (pierced the edge with a piercer and Mat Pack) and added another layer of Very Vanilla. Next I took a piece of Not Quite Navy and punched the top and bottom edges with the Fleur de Lis punch from EK Success. Through the middle I’ve placed some Bella Bleu DSP – some of my favourite paper – and placed a piece of ivory satin ribbon through the middle.

I stamped the border and centre from Thinking of You in Not Quite Navy and Chocolate Chip (for the flowers only) twice and cut them out with my Large Classic Ovals. (The Small Classic Ovals would be better – but I’m still waiting on my order to arrive.) I’ve used the Scalloped Ovals to cut the Not Quite Navy scalloped layer and placed the border on it and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape. The middle I’ve coloured with Old Olive and a blender pen and a white gel pen for the flowers and then used thinner foam tape to pop this up in the middle. To finish I’ve added some Blush Kaisercraft pearls and the cut outs from the punching to the corners.

Welcome back to the third day of my Guest Blog Week!!! I hope you’ve been enjoying the projects so far. Today’s project is another one of my favourites – a Covered Journal! I like to do these for gifts, such as for teachers at the end of the school year, but also I find that I get asked for Wedding ones to be used as Guest Books for people to write in. So today I’ve made a Wedding Guest Book using JustRite’s Wedding Stamp Ensemble.



I started by purchasing a black Spirax Notebook and covered the front with some beautiful, white, shimmery patterned rose lightweight card (Quill Metallique Silver Essence Paper – Rose Iceberg). It was a little thicker than the paper I normally use, but it will be nice and durable. I punched one edge with the Stampin’ Up Spiral punch and stuck it to the notebook with some double sided tape. Then I took a piece of black bazzill, layered it with some more white shimmer card and added some black corners cut using the ‘Vintage’ die set by provocraft. Through the centre I’ve added some white satin ribbon (1 ½ inch wide) and tied the centre with a small piece of wire to keep it cinched in the middle. Over that I’ve placed my centerpiece.



I started that by stamping one of the borders and centres from the Wedding Stamp Ensemble in black ink on white card and cut it out using the circle nestabilities and embossing the edge. Then I punched out a piece of black with a 2 inch circle punch to give a fine mat. Then I used the next size up circle nestabilities to cut out some more shimmery white card and the matching scallop for the black scallop layer. When they were all stuck together I stuck it over the centre of the ribbon by using a bit of Pritt glue and some foam tape on the back. Once I had completed the entire panel I glued it to the front of the book and finished off by tying black and white ribbon down the spine!!!

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 2 of my Guest Blog Week!! Today’s project is one of my favourite types of Beyond the Page things to make ---- a Lunch Tin!!! This particular one is going to a pre-teen girl who loves blue! This particular tin is made by Provocraft and I’ve used some pretty Sweetwater paper (blue floral – Family Ties paper collection) and Rusty Pickle (dots – Connor’s Wallpaper). First thing I did was cut some strips of paper – two strips of blue and two strips of the dots. With the front blue strip I’ve found the top middle and used the template found here - http://images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/ee/images/tutorials/tinwithnotch.pdf to mark and cut out the front notch. Once that was done, applied several strips of double sided tape and carefully stuck it to the tin. Then add the back paper in the same way ignoring the notch step. Once those are down, I’ve applied the bottom dotted strips in the same way making sure they overlap at the same place to give a nice smooth line on each side. Around the lip of the lid and over the horizontal join lines I’ve added some white 3/8 inch grosgrain ribbon. The lid has been covered using the same template, although I found that the holes for the handle need to be widened a bit. Once the template has been transferred onto the paper, I cut it through the holes and placed on each side of the handles, adjusting as necessary and then sticking with more double sided tape.

Once the tin is covered you can add your embellishments!! In this case, I am putting the recipients name on the front using the Curlz Font Set in the largest font and the Rectangular Stamper, stamped in Close to Cocoa ink and cut out using Label 4 Nestabilities dies and matted with blue cut from the same die set. The flowers are Baby Blue and Taupe Kaisercraft and the pearls are Chino Kaisercraft. The flourish under the largest flower has been cut out of Fawn Bazzill with Floral Accents dies by Spellbinders. The tag on the top is made using the 1 3/16 inch circle stamper and the Tiny Words Set. I thought a girl of this age might like to keep her tin private, so I used the Don’t Peek centre and the flourish border, stamped in Brocade Blue and cut out with Circle Nestabilities, matted with a Fawn scalloped circle. The ribbon has been glued between the layers and tied to the handle. Finally add some more tied ribbon to the handle and you’re finished!!

Hello Everyone and welcome to the first day of my Guest Blog Week! Each day this week I’ll be posting projects made using different JustRite products, so I hope you come back and see what’s new!
Today’s projects are Wine Glass Charms and something I thought of as soon as I saw this cool ‘Girl Time Set’!! I love this cool set with it’s fun images and just reminds you of fun times with your girlfriends!

I started with some Polyshrink (shrink plastic that probably comes in various types, but this is the brand I have). Now I was new to shrink plastic, but gee it’s so fun to play with! The lesson I learned is that the colours darken a lot when they shrink and make sure there is no other mark, no matter how tiny, because it will show up later! I lightly rubbed my nail file block over it because I didn’t have any fine sandpaper and then grabbed my Girl Time stamps and stamped each one in Jet Black Stazon. When dry I coloured each one with markers, cut out with circle nestabilities and then punched a ¼ inch hole in the sides. I shrunk each one using my heat gun while it was lying on some paper (so you don’t do something horrible to your furniture – don’t ask me how I know this!). Once the project is shrunk to size, I attached a split ring in the hole so that the charm lies flat when you use it. Then I grabbed some coloured wire, looped one end and added a crimp (squashed) to stop the beads moving, two small beads, then the charm and two more matching beads, crimp at the end and finishing off with a loop at the other end of the wire.

A little something that is fun and unique and perfect for my next Girls Night In! Hope you stop by again tomorrow for the next project!!

I store my JustRite stamps in their original boxes but after seeing this post I think I need to go shopping for some jewelry round containers. They would take up a lot less space in my crowded work area. Thanks for the great tip and for the opportunity to win some amazing blog candy.

Introducing our Newest Design Team Member - Kathy Jones

We are very please to announce that we are taking our design team International with the addition of Kathy Jones from Australia. Kathy managed to get hooked on JustRite Font way before she joined our design team.

Here are just a few our favorite JustRite Cards that she designed before joining our design team.

Kathy loves to make personalized Birthday cards and who doesn't need a great stash of Birthday Cards all the time.

Over the past few weeks we have enjoyed all the Aussie Trivia that Kathy has shared with our design team as she educates us. Even though both countries speak the same langauge ...doesn't mean we spell things the same way. For example Mom here is Mum there. Favorite -is Favourite. So you can see how some JustRite Font might come in a little handy!!

Here is our interview with Kathy-

Tell us about your family. I am happily married to my very patient and supportive husband, Matthew. We have three children, Zachary (7yrs), Benjamin (4yrs) and Alyssa (2yrs). Life is pretty hectic as you could imagine and yet they always encourage and support my stamping addiction!!!

How long have you been stamping? I started back in the early 90’s, however there wasn’t the same amount of variety and materials and I stopped after a while. It was in 2006 when my Mum and my best friend (who are both stampers) got me back into it. Since then, there has been no looking back!!

How long does it take you to design one of your beautiful cards? That really depends on the card! A basic card would take about 30mins. The ones with lots of details and layers can take well over an hour!!

Where do you do your stamping? We have a large room that the kids and I share – they use it as a play room for all their toys, I have two desks set up and some shelving in the corner. It works well, they play – I create and we’re all together!

How many hours a week do you paper craft? I hate to imagine!!! LOL!! At least 14hrs I guess!!

What is your must have stamping tool? If it’s tools, it would have to be my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities... I use them ALL the time!

H0w long have you been blogging? I started blogging in November 2008, it has been a fun ride and I’ve met some wonderful people along the way.

Who are your 3 favorite designers that inspire you? Amy Sheffer (Pickled Paper Designs), Michelle Woerner (Stop and Stamp the Roses) and Chris Olsen (Twinkles Glow With Stamps), there are so many more though!!

Currently who is your favorite Paper Company? Oh, that’s a hard one! So much paper to choose from, although I find at the moment I’m in love with the Bella Bleu paper pack by Stampin’ Up!

What is your Favorite JustRite Product and why? This is a really hard one to answer because they are all great. My latest favourite would be the new Birthday Wishes Set because I make so many birthday cards and they have a variety of styles and a great size. I also love the fonts because it’s wonderful to be able to personalise a card or gift for someone – it just makes them feel special!

Tell us besides JustRite, what are you currently addicted to?? Punches and Pearls!!! Love all the edge punches and I have a ridiculous amount of pearls in my drawer!!!
