My favorite PaperCrafting 'holiday' is Halloween. I love Halloween. Where I live there isn't really a change of seasons (no leaves changing colors or falling from the trees - they stay green all year long) and so we don't really get to celebrate Autumn or Winter but Halloween is easy to celebrate. I love to make decorations and gifts for everyone. I don't have to worry about offending religious views or any of the Christmas present dilemmas.

I also prefer to make cute Halloween decorations rather than purchase the scary versions that are available in stores. My children are too young for the scary stuff and besides - I love the holiday for it's cute side anyway!! Much more fun to create cute/sweet stuff than to create scary stuff anyway! : )

My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love the time of year, I love the colors and I love all the fun treats and cards you can make. I think there is a lot of room to have fun and play with it, too- you can make silly, fun things for younger kids, or scarier things for older kids or just serious nice things for adults.

I also like that you can change things around and make cards or gifts or tags with a traditional Halloween theme (trick-or-treaters and ghosts and goblins) or you can make more Fall/Harvest theme cards. And again- I just love the colors of Fall- oranges, rusts, browns, greens in all shades. Then add in some black and purple and yellow for Halloween... so much fun!

I love making place cards with my daughter on Thanksgiving -- she gets to feel so much a part of the celebration, and folks know where to sit. I ask them to write some of the things that they are thankful for on the back of them, and they can take them or leave them for us to read -- it really makes a difference as people all come together thinking about the holiday.
